When dealing with multiple mid-sized rocks it’s one thing to get them all off the ground and into our truck to haul them away. But when it comes to larger boulders, additional steps need to be taken. As excavating contractors we’re skilled at digging up, chiseling, drilling, and even exploding when it comes down to it! Using an expansion method, we’re able to drill holes and insert a fluid that works for 24 hours to expand the crevasses of a smaller boulder until it cracks open. If this method isn’t effective we’ll love on to finishing off the job with a jackhammer. On larger stones, the jackhammer method can be gone to immediately. In the case of an especially large obstructive boulder, as a last resort we may use small explosives to help out the process. Everyone one of these methods has been perfected by the dedicated team at Spider Mountain Excavators Ltd over the years to be up to all safety standards and get the job done as effectively as possible.
